Join us for Park Planting and Marsh Cleanup at Bucktown Harbor!

Where: Bucktown Harbor (325 Metairie – Hammond Hwy, 70005)

Come join the Pontchartrain Conservancy this Friday for a park planting and marsh clean-up at Bucktown Harbor. We’re partnering with Jefferson Parish Ecosystem and Coastal Management and the office of councilwoman Jennifer Van Vrancken to plant about 40 trees and shrubs - red swamp maple, native mulberry, palmetto palm, live oak and bald cypress – in the park and marsh!

These fringing marshes are critical. They support our coasts and provide habitat patches for priority species. So, we need help digging, planting and mulching these trees! It’s also time to show the marsh some love. Some of you will get in the marsh and help clear up debris and refuse left over from all the recent storms.

So bring your boots; we’ll bring everything else!
