Bucktown Nursery - Sapling Weeding and Pond Arranging
-Help the Pontchartrain Conservancy with weeding at our Bucktown Nursery and move potted trees into ponds. These saplings are part of our efforts in restoring Southeast Louisiana's coast.

What to Bring: Closed-toed shoes, refillable water bottle
Provided: Gardening gloves, boots, sunscreen, bug spray, light refreshments
We need volunteers for light physical work like bending and lifting (max 15 lbs). If you have mobility concerns, please contact us for accommodations.
Parking: Available on Mayan Lane, Live Oak Street, and Metairie-Hammond Highway.

Bucktown Shoreline Restoration Event- 4/12/2025
-Be Part of the Bucktown Marsh Restoration!
Join Pontchartrain Conservancy and Glass Half Full in restoring vital marsh habitat along Lake Pontchartrain! Using 1,000 bags of sustainably sourced sand—made from recycled glass—volunteers will plant native grasses to help rebuild the marsh. This project will strengthen coastal defenses, create essential wildlife habitat, and provide a beautiful space for the community to enjoy.

Time: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Bucktown Marina
Wear: Closed-toed shoes (boots available if needed)
Provided: Water and snacks
