Coastal scientists, Jefferson Parish officials and professional recyclers were gathered at the Bucktown Marina Friday morning for the restoration project along Lake Pontchartrain. Part of a larger revitalization effort in the harbor park and marina, the initiative will bolster flood protection and wildlife habitat in a 12-acre peninsula behind the marina.
