"There's nothing there right now. It's been totally wiped out," said Joey Carlson, an architect who has been working with New Orleans developer Vincent Marcello on reconstructing the lighthouse that was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina.
After the storm, Marcello was able to purchase the remnants of what was left behind and now plans to fully reconstruct the lighthouse as a fishing camp site while preserving a piece of history.
