Makenzie Reich was a 2022-23 AmeriCorps member serving as our Education Assistant. She has been hired as a full-time employee to continue her role! Makenzie graduated from Loyola University, receiving her bachelors in visual communications and environmental studies.

A few years prior, she backpacked the islands of New Zealand, where she sought to understand the importance of biodiversity, water quality, and energy conservation. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and is currently on a quest to make the perfect Hungarian potato soup.

She recently graduated from Loyola University New Orleans. During her studies, she was a part of Students for Sustainability, where she successfully advocated for improving environmental policies and procedures. She has a bachelor's in visual communications and a minor in environmental studies.

Before joining Americorp, she backpacked the islands of New Zealand for two months, where she sought to better understand the importance of biodiversity, water quality, and energy conservation. Makenzie has used her passion for the environment and expertise in communications to create media focusing on environmental awareness and education. She has worked with clients ranging from local nonprofits to national organizations and meets new challenges with out-of-the-box solutions. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and is currently on a quest to make the perfect Hungarian potato soup
