Kimberly Cooke has been working with students of all ages for over twenty years in formal and informal education settings. Since joining PC in May 2019, Kimberly has revamped PC’s environmental education program to reflect a core philosophy of providing opportunities for critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration for all participants. The new programs and projects are focused on systemic change and serving the diverse communities of Southeastern Louisiana. Kimberly also holds certificates in Urban Environmental Education and Environmental Education Outcomes. In addition, she held a Florida teaching certificate for over nine years and a Louisiana teaching certificate for over five years. In those years, she researched, developed, and presented engaging, standards-based curricula as both a 5th-7th grade science teacher and 6th-7th grade team leader.
