-Come join Pontchartrain Conservancy and avian biologist Dennis Clutter on a weekly survey of birds at Bucktown Marsh. The marsh is a great example of green and blue infrastructure and the intersection of human activity and nature. Whether you're an experienced surveyor or a newcomer excited to learn more about birds and identifying them, we hope you will join us for a survey.

Bucktown Shoreline Restoration Event- 2/22/2025
-Join Us for the Bucktown Marsh Restoration Project!
Pontchartrain Conservancy is proud to partner with Glass Half Full to restore vital marsh habitat along the Lake Pontchartrain shore! With 1,000 sustainably sourced bags of sand—made from recycled glass—volunteers will plant native grasses to help rebuild the marsh. This restoration effort will create essential habitat for wildlife, strengthen our coastline against storm surge, and provide a scenic, accessible space for the community to enjoy.

Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Bucktown Marina
What to Bring: Closed-toed shoes (boots available if needed)
What’s Provided: Water and snacks
