Largest Ecosystem Restoration Project in U.S. History Receives Final Permits
Pontchartrain Conservancy has long advocated for science-based, model-supported, natural land building solutions. Today, Louisiana makes history as the national leader in ecosystem restoration. The Mid-Barataria Sediment Diversion was approved by the Army Corps of Engineers on Monday December 19th, 2022. This decision puts the Mississippi River on track to build hundreds of acres of land along our vanishing coast.
