Pontchartrain Conservancy will be partnering with Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries to pick up Derelict Crab Traps in Pontchartrain Basin in 2019. Derelict crab traps are a navigational hazard that continue to “Ghost Fish,” trapping animals needlessly and reducing the annual blue crab harvest as they degrade in our coastal waters.
