Lighthouse Lecture Series: Focus on Catch Basins

Join us for a evening of learning about all that our city storm basins catch & what we can do about it.

Our speakers for the night:

JOANN HAYDEL- Joann is the Education and Outreach Director at Pontchartrain Conservancy. She will speak on the damage litter like micro-plastics can cause & inform us of some related service opportunities.

SAMI KHALIL- As the Storm Water Management Supervisor at the Jefferson Parish Dept. of Environmental Affairs, Sami knows all too well the potential danger of an ill-kept storm drain.

MAGGIE OLIVER- Maggie is a Floodplain/CRS Specialist with Jefferson Parish. From her we’ll hear what we can do to help clear the way for better flood mitigation through her project Broom to Basins.
